Kinrinji is a Shingon sect temple housing a wooden reclining Buddha statue from the Kamakura period (a designated cultural property of Shimotsuma City). Located by Sunuma Lake, it has a good setting but appears unmanaged due to being unmanned. The reclining Buddha can be viewed through a glass case, though reflections make it difficult to see. It's easily accessible near a park, but some feel it's just an ordinary temple.
