Jōshō-ji is a Jōdo Shinshū temple nestled quietly in a nature-rich mountain. Its historic main hall and serene, calming atmosphere impress many visitors. It's also known as one of the few Jōdo Shinshū temples where you can receive a Goshuin (temple seal). While access by car is recommended, walking takes time and involves many uphill paths. Interactions with the head priest and warm exchanges with locals are also appealing aspects.
