Fukuoji Yakushido is a historic temple located within Yakushiike Park, with the Yakushi Nyorai statue, interior carvings, and ceiling paintings being particular highlights. The quiet environment surrounded by forest is calming and a good place to rest after a stroll. The hidden Yakushi Nyorai statue is a designated tangible cultural property of Machida City and is sometimes exhibited every 12 years or around Culture Day. The estimated 500-year-old ginkgo tree is also impressive. Access is relatively good, but opportunities to view the statue may be limited except during specific periods.
