Kannonji Temple, one of the Date Five Temples, is also known as a temple on several Kannon pilgrimage routes. It features historical structures and Buddhist statues, with the seated statue of Sho-Kannon from the Muromachi period being particularly noteworthy. The temple grounds are well-maintained and bloom with flowers in spring. However, some areas appear to have restricted access due to past earthquake damage.
