Harutate Inari Shrine is easily accessible along Route 5. It's a historic shrine with well-maintained buildings and torii gates. Though unmanned, you can get a simple, calming Goshuin (stamp) for 500 yen from its affiliated shrine. Preparations for the annual festival were underway, adding to the atmosphere. Note that the water at the purification fountain may not always be available.
