Chikuzen Kokubunji Temple, established in the Nara period, evokes the history of provincial temples. The well-maintained grounds offer a serene atmosphere for worship. Many are moved by the opportunity to see the principal image of Yakushi Nyorai up close. The kindness and polite service of the chief priest and staff are also appreciated. While you can receive Goshuin (temple stamps), some are disappointed it's a stamp rather than handwritten. The remains of the Kokubunji ruins are also present, recommended for history enthusiasts.
