A traditional-style soba restaurant near Kinkaku-ji. Their 100% buckwheat soba is finely cut, smooth, and flavorful, but served in small portions. The dipping sauce is rich. Chirashizushi is also popular. While soba appetizers and soba-yu (buckwheat water) pairings are available, the prices are high. Some feel the soba's flavor and texture don't justify the cost.
