Yasaka Shrine, a historic shrine with over 1000 years of history, offers enjoyment through the intricate carvings of its main hall and strolls through its grounds. It is easily accessible and has free parking, but can get very crowded during periods like New Year's. A white snake deity is also enshrined, visible after its winter hibernation.
